John & Angela

O God of love, to Thee we bow,
And pray for these before Thee now,
That, closely knit in holy vow,
They may be in Thee one.

When days are filled with pure delight,
When paths are plain and skies are bright,
Walking by faith and not by sight,
May they be in Thee one.

When stormy winds fulfill Thy will,
And all their good seems turned to ill,
Then, trusting in Thee completely, still
May they be in Thee one.

Whate’er in life shall be their share
Of quickening joy or burdening care,
In power to do and grace to bear,
May they be in Thee one.

Yet, another!

You won't be able to guess what role I was given for this wedding! Gone are the days of being a flower girl, I look forward to being a bridesmaid hopefully once in my life? But never EVER has it cross my mind to be a ring barrier! I mean, isn't that for little cute boys in smart tux? Well, I broke tradition!

On a different note, I'm going for a roadtrip tomorrow! Will be back Friday. I hope I'll have lots of photos + stories when I return. Happy May everyone!

B&W: a + c

Got married on a Wednesday

Today's wedding is one of those I'd remember for life! The groom cried. Not just teary eyes, he cried! I'm not sure what else I need to say. I love seeing how God brings two people together. Athagon and Chin Yan's joyful simple wedding was truely beautiful. Well, every wedding is! Isn't it? It was such an honor to help out on their big day.

Forever

Ever attended a wedding ceremony which lasted for 3 hours? Today, we made a day trip into a village in Burma to witness a traditional Chin wedding of a dear friend. We had some adventure travelling in there on a 'song teow' with 24 people on the dusty bump roads.

At the wedding, there wasn't any flower girls, no exchanging of rings and not even a peak on the cheek! But that's not what weddings are just about right? It's about a promise "to have and to hold, to love and to cherish" come what may... love grows deeper, stronger and more beautiful when it is planted by God.

Whenever I think about weddings, I pray for that man who may one day become my man. But I think my care for His will, in His timing has grown that much greater as I do so.

Rejoicing in His love

Through the years a young girl prays for her husband to be,
She prays that God will reveal Himself, and set His spirit free.

To love, believe, and walk with God, His Spirit to obey, she asks that Truth will be his guide and keep him for her someday. Now she's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above. The one for whom she's prayed and dreamed is here for her to love. She knows now who God's given to her, that she might understand. The love of Christ for His own bride -- she's rejoicing in God's plan.

At the same time a young man asks that God will give to him a wife; A woman pure, who loves the Lord, a friendship made for life! He hopes that she will love God's Word and often that she'll pray; For Jesus Christ to be her life and then turn her heart his way.

Now he's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above. The one for whom he's prayed and dreamed is here for him to love. He knows now who God's given to him, that he might understand,The love of Christ for His own bride -- he's rejoicing in God's plan.

Today they come to unite their hearts as one in Jesus name; They'll give their hearts, their lives, their love; a ring to seal the same. What once was two shall become one, that the world might see again. A testimony of the love of Christ between a woman and a man.

Now they're rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above. The one's for whom they've prayed and dreamed are here for them to love. They know now who God's given to them, that they might understand,The love of Christ for His own bride -- they're rejoicing in God's plan.

With This Ring: Sam & Kul

The highly anticipated wedding of a very dear couple to me finally took place. It wasn't an easy task to get all their floral arrangements/ deco done up (from the arch to her hand bouquet) but it sure was worth it all! The bride was gorgeous, of course, from the moment I saw her and so did the groom with his big glowing smile. Love this wedding! The ceremony was just beautiful.

I took over 500 shots but have not looked through them all. Maybe I'll post some more some other time. Have a blessed Lord's day!
