July showers

One minute the sun is shining, the next it looks like we're going to have a storm. Muddy days are here to stay! In my childhood, I missed out on climbing trees, rolling down hills and waddling in mud. Sooo I'm not gonna miss these out in my adulthood! You can't imagine how fun it gets when playing soccer on a land like this at Baan-nana. I'm a penguin look at me!

even superman gets tired

I'm just plain dead... kids zap up all the energy in me. I've got a husky voice and I'm aching from the many hours of standing to teach. The accumulated tiredness from the past week hits.

“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious.”– Vince Lombardi, Legendary Football Coach

So yesh, I'm a happy exhausted teacher. Okay, I can barely continue typing already. I'm going to hibernate. A Rip Van Winkle sleep.

say cheeseeeee!

60 excited children, songs, drama, crafts, taking tons of pictures and oodles of other details could sum up the last few days of camp. Exhausting, but so worth it. I sometimes feel that I go away learning so much more!

I've been incredibly blessed by this team. Their unity, passion for Christ, servant spirit and genuine love for others is just wahh. i don't know what to say la! Most of them are first generation Christians. You can really see their radiant, loving relationship with God. Such crazy fun people too!

Watch out for more photos on facebook. Give me time though, 1k to sort through. Heading for English Camp till Wednesday. See you soon!

nothing but the truth

Seriously, no man knows the hour or day that the Lord will return. None of us know when our time on this earth is up...

Is your name written in the book of life?

"If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."Romans 6:23

"Jesus said to him, I am the way the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6. Friends, if you were to die tonight where would you go?

the promise of love

You know, life with God can get challenging sometimes. But as I think about it, life without God can only be described by the word ‘unthinkable’. Today, the 2nd day of camp our skit was on the parable of the prodigal’s son (mordernised version).

Papa & Son

"Come on, join the party man!"

Let's hear from wise old granny

"For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate." Luke 15:24

As God longs for, looks for, searches for, and puts forth effort for the lost- so must I. Saw some teary eyes at the end of this. How does it feel to have the Heavenly Father hugging you, enclosing you into His loving arms, even though you don't deserve it?

finishing well

Praise the Lord for a wonderful 1st day of camp! Just had to share this verse which was on my mind throughout the day. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1

I got a little note from a friend when I was back home last dec. I’ve seriously never seen his handwriting in my entire life till then! So I kept that rare note even though it’s just one word, in my Bible. Today, that one word speaks volumes to my heart.

[The inward strength to withstand stress/ trials/ temptations to accomplish God's best]
