Stress kills. These past few days, I haven't had a good night's rest. I wake up to dreams of me turning up late for the paper, or looking at the questions and fainting. God, please take away all these horrible fears! His word has such great power to comfort. Been having this verse in my heart "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."-John 14:27 Pray for me yah? REALLY need them.

Roots

Look at how grown up we've all become. These are my cousins on Dad's side. Cny started off with the usual visit to granny's house. It's funny how every single year, I know what sort of food to expect from the different houses I visit. Mama- Kueh Pie Ti, 7th Uncle- Porridge, 11th Uncle- Chicken Macaroni soup. The list goes on. I've put on some extra pounds because of all the highly tempting new year goodies!

Since returning, I've noticed that Grandma has slowed down tremendously. Sometimes, she is in a world of her own. This really concerns me! I know she's old and things will change but I hope it's nothing more than that.

Some bowling fun to kick of the start of this gong xi fa cai season! It's been great to meet up after missing the past 2 years, keep up with the tradition, and enjoy time together as we have our reunion with people we treasure.

The Fantastic 4 Reunite

I love the fact that I can call these two guys my dear brothers. Growing up together, living under one roof during our visits back, sharing life experiences. Today, it was so nice to catch up with recruit Cho! Got to see the new look of the army uniform which somewhat reminds me of cabbage. Still, guys in uniform look smart.

Awaken your appetite!

Overflow of food! I am absolutely delighted that I'm not sick coming back this time so there is no restriction to what I've been eating! I know, I still have to watch it but I've been excercising, drinking lots of water and trying to get at least 6 hrs of sleep.

On the island

Carrying 10kg of books was backbreaking. Guys out there doing road march, you're amazing! We left Mae Sai at 6:30am and only arrived at about 10:30pm due to flight delays. That very night, we indulged in all the sinful yummy Singaporean food at Bedok Hawker. It feels funny to be back here again!

So tonight, the girls waited. I know, I know it usually is the other way round. I can better understand how it feels now.

Finally.
Together.

The past 24 hrs as a family has been one of doing nothing but just sitting around, enjoying each other's company. We played Saboteur. We drank a float. We went out for a long walk. We ate a home cooked meal. We had devotions. We measured our heights and marked it on the walls just like what we use to do when young. I feel absolutely grateful. I don't want this to end.

God, thank you, truely.

I'm just here to announce that I'm not dead. Yet. I'd to keep reminding myself the past week that there WILL be lots of time for daydreaming, reading a good book rather than my notes, going out...just...later. They will wait for me. Well, they better do!

Wish I had more to offer but it's just been the books and me. Hope you have a nicer weekend! Mine will :) because my big brother is coming tomorrow! Yippie Dooda! *Does a happy dance* After 343 days! It will be so so good.

When an art expert comes across a painting and declares, "That's Picasso!" he does not mean that the artist and that oil-streaked canvas are the same thing. Instead it means that the artist's handiwork is so clearly on display that you can see the artist in his or her work. Wheather you're studying your science, maths or biology books, peering into a telescope or noticing your thumbprint, what you're seeing is nothing less than the glory of God!

Yes, I will, No, I must!

Ahhh, exams in less than 3 weeks! So many things to cram into my brains still. This is bad. Focus! What does Lydia do when she is stressed out and feels like she can’t remember the countless things she needs to revise through? She puts on her specs and spends her time drafting a pretty timetable and a list of “things- to-do”!! Haha. Yesh I did just that, again.

My first paper starts on the 4th day of Chinese New Year while everyone is celebrating… I’ll be in a cubicle writing. Boo! Pray that God would continue to sustain me. Okay, taking leave from this space. Toodle-loo!

Well hello there, how has 2009 been so far? I got to write down a long list of personal goals for the year. But I won't bore you with it because I'm sure you are not interested with the fact that I've resolved to drink more water or wear my retainers every single night (blah and double-blah). So what I will share are my 7 simples... 7 because its a complete number!
