We hosted 3 different families from Singapore back-to-back. Each day was packed full and exhausting. Sam & Kul's wedding is 4 days away! I'm doing their flower arrangements. It's been fun planning for it, pouring over tons of wedding photos for ideas. The "doing" is the challenge. Can't wait for their big day! School work is pilling up. I can hardly find time for myself these days...

Guess who I spent Valentine's Day with?

No, this is not my late grandfather but his twin! He has come to visit! Sometimes,with the slip of my tongue I call him 'Yeh Yeh'. They walk alike, talk alike and definately look just alike. My 'Yeh Yeh' has gone home to be with the Lord yet, it feels like he is right here with us. Odd, i know! I spent my day with the ones I love. God & Family. I hope you did too!

Apperance

After reading someone’s blog, it seemed to me that many girls today are unhappy with the way they look. This got me thinking… Like it or not, we are bombarded with images of perfect-looking skinny models on the runway with great complexions, shinny hair and a perfect set of white teeth. We think beauty is the ticket to bliss.

Girls now don’t just dress up for guys but they dress up for other girls! I think that girls dress competitively. Feeling the need to show their worth. But this is a very furtile effort and will only serve to make one feel worse about themselves.

Believe me, I struggled through this. It is easy to feel insecure. However, look into your heart. Who do u truly desire to please? God made you just the way He wants you to be. Knitting each part together deliberately. (Psalm 139) Most importantly, beauty is from the heart and it only comes from a secure faith in God. “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 Enjoy what God has given you! Be content.

Rest in Christ, in His love, mercy and grace. Joyfully thank Him for everything! You will find true security- security that no gorgeous apperance can ever give.

I hate goodbyes

My dearest brother has headed back to Singapore and in 2 weeks time back to studies in Melbourne. As excited I am for the path the Lord has directed him in, at the same time I am missing him so bad!



We've created so many memories together, from childhood till present day. Someone who is always there to protect me. Last night, he was just sleeping in the next room. This morning, we were singing praises to our Lord. But now, I must send my hugs and prayers across the many miles. I can't believe the next time we meet would be in a years time... I love you, big brother! I can't wait to see the plans God has for your future.

The Way of Purity

When you chose to follow the way of purity, did you expect it to be easy? When you decided to wait for the best, did you think that waiting would be fun? Did you think that your faith would not be tested? When you decided to take the narrow path, did no one warn you that difficulties, hardships and tears would be part of the journey,and that you would often face rejection from others and be forced to walk alone?
