I come to the garden...

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The son of God discloses!

And He walks with me, and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own!
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet that the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing!

And He walks with me, and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own!
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known!

reflections on a rainy day

Good tuesday to you all. I can hear the rain on my window sills! For the first time in ages it is raining and I have no complaints. Hopefully it will clear the terrible haze, please!

So, how's everyone doing? I, for one, am tired. This is the time of the year where school is out, camps are in and mission teams are here. In fact, one team arrived tonight. Just within this week, I've to attend 2 graduation ceremonies and a wedding!

Sharing by Rev. Norman. Do you remember when Jesus said: "Only one thing is needed?"

Yup, it was when He visited the home of Martha and Mary. Martha was upset that Mary was not helping her. Mary was just sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to Him. I am often like Martha. But I want to be more like Mary! I want to learn to choose what is better. I want to learn to sit quietly at the feet of Jesus and listen to what He is saying.

Pictures taken on my walks. Wah, it's 1am now. Have a great wednesday...

Smile-Worthy

A good breakfast, super comfy loafers, sink into novels, my creative space. There seems to be so many beautiful things around me at the moment. This friday night it is: windy, a little quiet and slow. Enjoying every moment of it because next week is going to be busy, busy but I do love being busy too! I'm currently anxiously waiting for my results... checking my email every hour! haha. I hope you all will have a wonderful weekend!

a little dash of cat love

I couldn't resist grabbing the camera. It was so nice of them to come together for my last photo. I wonder if Mr Aragon would like one as a friend. Did you know I once had a cat name Ginger?

Today, we had a meeting for Baan-nana's Christmas event! Now I've a skit to think-up, costumes to make and a fun dinner party for 96 kidos to plan for. I'm excited! I can't believe we are this close to the end of the year.

smells like happy

Behold the pancake man. Had to amuse myself today. Oh and as you can see, i did a little playing around here too. Like it? Things are getting busy again with a 3 day VBS for the Shan kids starting this friday, followed by another English Camp for school next week.

You know there are plenty of beautiful things to be seen if you just open your eyes to them.

Blessings friends.

Photo Monday

Look who I found!

Ah... what a day. I got everything on my 'to-do' list done for today! That always makes me feel good but I'm exhuasted and it's only a monday! I'm seeing busy days ahead as another mission team from my church comes up here.

This morning, God gave me a timely reminder through this story... "A man was once cutting a tree stump with an obviously blunt axe. He was only bruising the bark as sweat poured from his beaded brow. Someone suggested that he stop for a moment and sharpen the axe, to which he replied, "I'm too busy chopping the tree to stop for anything." If he would only stop for a moment and sharpen the axe, he would be able to slice through the tree with far greater ease.

In the same way, I need to stop at the beginning of each day to "sharpen the axe" through prayer. Seek first the kingdom of God and I know I will be able to slice through a day with far greater ease!
